“Shout to the Lord,” one of the more famous Christian praise and worship songs in recent years, is being sung on “American Idol.” Right this very minute.
I cannot believe it.
And I’m so pleased.
Here are the lyrics.
CHRIS TOMLIN LYRICS
“Shout To The Lord”
Shout to the Lord, all the earth,
Let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands,
Forever I’ll love You, forever I’ll stand,
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.
My Jesus, My Savior,
Lord, there is none like You;
All of my days
I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love.
My comfort, my shelter,
Tower of refuge and strength;
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You.
Shout to the Lord, all the earth,
Let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands,
Forever I’ll love You, forever I’ll stand,
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.
Shout to the Lord, all the earth,
Let us sing
Power and majesty, praise to the King;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands,
Forever I’ll love You, forever I’ll stand,
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.
Nothing compares to the promise I have
Nothing compares to the promise I have in you.
I know this is “Idol” Gives Back week, but this is amazing.
Wow. Just wow!
I heard it and it was wonderful.
I know there are some who didn’t like it, but I still think it was remarkable!
You had the same reaction I did! Christianity rears it’s glorious head in Prime Time.
