I should have named him Wiggles…

I took these photos of Toby in 40 minutes’ time a couple of weeks ago. Both Ed and I were in the bed. Didn’t keep Toby from doing his thing at all.

10:55 p.m.

11:00 p.m.

11:08 p.m.

11:10 p.m.

11:26 p.m.

11:27 p.m.

11:29 p.m.

11:30 p.m.

11:32 p.m.

Still 11:32 p.m.

11:34 p.m.

Is there any wonder that I don’t sleep that well? Oh, and he snores. Loudly.

Ha! I got a kick out of Marylin’s comment, because it is SO true. We had a dog once . . . for a little while . . . until we realized it was A LOT like having an actual kid. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Heh… It was after I got a dog that I started realizing how much “everything” having a kid is. ๐Ÿ™‚ And, as you know, we’re NOT planning on having any two-legged children.

A pet is to having a kid what a fruit smoothie is to a daiquiri. I’ve had cats, dogs, gerbils, various birds, an iguana, an aligator, various fish, horses, donkeys, a turtle, and two kids.

Pets aren’t the same as kids, of course… but it was from having pets that I got my first glimpse of what having kids would be like… and I don’t know that I’m up for it…

You make me feel lucky that my two lay still most the night, even though they trap my legs by laying on either side of them and holding the blankets down.

Oh, Toby does that, too… Depends on the night… ๐Ÿ™‚

The thing about kids is that you don’t actually have to be up for it in order to be up to snuff. They have a way of MAKING you be a good parent, and making you not mind most of what you have to go through for them. Pet’s do too, but not as forcefully. Unless you spoil them way too much they aren’t as demanding, but they also aren’t as rewarding.

    True though. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks!
