“Artist’s” sketch of today’s Sky Watch Friday photo

We’ve had some REALLY pretty skies the last couple of days, and I’ve been taking photos. Not feeling otherwise inspired today — and having the aforementioned lovely sky photos — I decided I’d do Sky Watch Friday.

Then the intermittent computer network problems we’ve been having the last week or so became… um… mittent again. (No, “mittent” isn’t an actual word.)

Therefore, I bring you an “artist’s” sketch of my Sky Watch Friday photo. I am the “artist.”

If you’re not good with childlike drawings (or perhaps even if you are), that’s the moon as seen through the pine trees. And, no, the moon isn’t full in real life. But I’m not so good at drawing full moons, much less trying to draw a waxing gibbous (bigger than 50 percent toward full) moon, so it’s full for the purpose of this post. Gotta love being an artiste!

And Ed thought I was a little crazy when I insisted he buy me some Crayola markers. 🙂

Waxing gibbous? Oooo, listen to you. Do you have any idea how many people have never, ever uttered the words ‘waxing gibbous’? They’ll just say, “Yup. Moon’s almost full.”

I LOVE that you know to say Waxing Gibbous.
