How I Met My Honey — April 29, 2008

To participate in the carnival, click here. For more information on the carnival, keep reading. 🙂

So, Lotus over at Sarcastic Mom has recently asked her readers to share (Breast)feeding Stories and Birth Stories.

And that got me thinking: “Rebecca, you’ve never breastfed – even though you did manage to participate in the (Breast)feeding Carnival. Nor are you a parent.”

And then I thought this: “But you HAVE ‘met someone,’ become his boyfriend, then his fiancé, and then his wife. Or he ‘met you,’ became your girlfriend, then your fiancée, and then your husband. Yes, that sounds way cool!”

So, with that, I unveil my humble blog carnival: How I Met My Honey. It will be April 29, hosted here at Ramblings by Reba.

The 29th is a Tuesday, so we won’t be all cranky/tired/whatever from the weekend. (I’m often cranky/tired/whatever on Tuesday, too, but that’s beside the point.) The 29th is ALSO our second anniversary. 🙂

So… start thinking now about your “How I Met…” story. Anyone can participate. Write about meeting your husband, wife; boyfriend, girlfriend; partner. If you’re currently unattached (what a horrid word; please forgive me!), feel free to tell us a story about an old boyfriend or girlfriend.

If you’ve already done this one, you’re welcome to link to your original post. (More visits for you, potentially!)

Anyhoo…

On April 29, I’ll post my How I Met My Honey (HIMMH) story at 12:00 a.m. eastern daylight time. When you write your story, please include a link to my HIMMH story in your post, so visitors to your blog can join in the fun. Then, come back here and leave the link to your post using the very popular and attractive Mister Linky. (Please link to your HIMMH post itself, not to the main page of your blog; this will help people find your story easily.)

Don’t have a blog? No problem! Leave a comment with your story. OR you can your story, and I’ll put it on a page on my blog.

Sound fun? I’m excited!

If you’d like to put a button about the event on your blog, here’s one you can use:

How I Met My Honey

Please link it to this page. 🙂

If you don’t want any extra “stuff” on your blog, it’s no problem. Just share your story on April 29. (And if you’re married, you can start thinking WAY ahead about your “Our Wedding” post. That carnival is scheduled for Monday, May 19.)

Questions? Leave a comment or e-mail me.

Oh, you want to know how I met MY honey NOW? Well, I’ll tell you this much. It involves a park, two dogs and a pile of poop. (Hmmm…)
