Pray for Tricia…

Tricia may be getting her new lungs tonight. Please pray for Tricia, Nate, Gwyneth and their families. Please pray, too, for the family who has suffered the loss of a loved one.

I’ll keep you updated, but check Nate’s site as well for updates.

Pray, pray, pray!

(Just before I hit “publish,” I saw this on Nate’s site. Please keep praying.)

Nathan, Tricia, and Gwyneth’s story — in a nutshell

The story of Nathan, Tricia, and Gwyneth Lawrenson was on the front page of today’s Raleigh/Durham News and Observer. You can read the article here. It’s a fabulous article.

I’ve posted about this family several other times. Nathan’s blog is at www.cfhusband.blogspot.com. This article will help you “catch up,” if you’d like. 🙂 Nathan’s observations about the article are here. I’m sure he’d love you to leave him a comment.

Tricia got to hold Gwyneth!

Tricia got to hold Gwyneth Rose for the first time. A video is here.

I’m sure I don’t have the details COMPLETELY right… but the basics are Tricia wasn’t able to hold her baby until now because of infection concerns for both mom and for baby. (Tricia, who has cystic fibrosis, is back on the list for a double-lung transplant, so she is, as I expect Nate would still call her, “fragile,” health-wise.)

Gwyneth was 8 weeks old yesterday.

Enjoy. And keep praying!

Also too wonderful for words…

This has been quite the 24 hours for Tricia, Nate and Gwyneth. This morning, I posted pictures of Nate holding Gwyneth for the first time. Here is video. It’s well worth the watch, especially when Nate talks about all the things Gwyneth is doing while she’s safe and sound in her daddy’s arms. And if all this weren’t enough, check out the latest news on Tricia.

I’ll keep posting updates as I feel led, but if you’re interested in the story, bookmark their site.

They’ve been on an amazing journey. They still have a long road ahead of them, but I know they’re so thankful for all the blessings they’ve received so far.
